- 4-5 purple leaves from a banana blossom
- 2 cups grated coconut
- 1 tbsp tamarind paste
- 2 inch ginger
- 5 shallots
- 2 dried whole red chili
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder; cayenne adjust according to your heat level
Cut purple leaves into large pieces.
Add leaves to a pan with water, turmeric, and salt
Boil for about 5 mins and cool.
Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend well.
Enjoy with hot rice or idlis!
